2) Sara Maino & Claudia Ferretti Isonde – A cave’s dream
A few steps lead us inside an oolite quarry in a mountainous area of Trentino, in Italy. The vocal performance of a group of children transports us into a dreamlike atmosphere. Here, their listening voices try to tune in to the language of the rocks, wishing to start a dialogue of sounds.
Sara Maino is an Italian Sound and Audio-visual artist, author, poet and performer, film and theatre director, and a community-engaged researcher.
Claudia Ferretti is an Italian Sound Artist, singer and facilitator of Collaborative Vocal Improvisation, Soundwalk conductor, poet and author.

1) Sara Maino – When the drops meet the mountains
A surreal blue-hour journey unfolds as a displaced spirit wanders through the temporal landscape of an isolated hill in the Apennines.
Guided by a thin wire dividing a field, where faint and fragile raindrops rest, the spirit pauses to observe the layers that slowly reveal themselves to the eye: a chain of droplets, a chain of mountains, a chain of birdsong.
Physical forms and drifting sounds dissolve into a sequence of memories—echoes of past encounters where water meets stone, movement meets stillness. Intrigued by this encounter, the spirit returns home to pose a fundamental question:
“What happens when the drops meet the mountains?”
Where water meets the mountain life begins and danger alike—a threshold of transformation, of new currents, and of motion yet to unfold.
Sara Maino is an Italian sound and audio-visual artist, poet and performer, film and theatre director, and a community-engaged researcher.
